Prior to joining the firm in May of 2003, Mike Chappell served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Congressman Chip Pickering of Mississippi. Mike was the senior policy advisor for legislative matters. In addition, he managed Pickering's activities on the Energy and Commerce Committee and his roles as the Co-Chairman of the Congressional Wireless Telecommunications Caucus and the Congressional Electricity Caucus.
Before joining Pickering's staff, Mike was the Office Manager and Press Aide to Mississippi Congressman Roger Wicker. He worked on the presidential campaign for Senator Phil Gramm during the 1996 election cycle. Mike also served at the RNC in 1994, when Republicans took back majority control in the House of Representatives and the Senate.
The McComb, Mississippi native graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mike and his family live in Washington, D.C.
